Seychelles fishing

There are many places to go fishing in the Seychelles. Inner island Seychelles fishing is a great place to fish for tuna, barracuda, Wahoo, sailfish and marlin. For those interested in deep sea Seychelles fishing April to October is the best time to go. At Seychelles charters you can choose from two catamarans to go out fishing in the Seychelles. Coco is 40 feet long and accommodate up to six fishermen. Sailbad the Sinner is also 40 feet long and can accommodate up to six fishermen. The outer islands are great for fly fishing, deep sea fishing, and game fishing. The best time to go is between October and April. Deep sea Seychelles fishing: Bait fish are found using surface poppers, while jog fishing is done from drop offs and off the top of reefs. Game fish are usually caught using a technique whereupon surface lures are trolled behind catamarans. Fly Seychelles fishing: The abundance of available fish combined with our guide's extensive knowledge, make the experience of fishing in the Seychelles an incredible one. Our catamarans come equipped with rubber boats, so that fishermen can float out to prime fishing locations. There's nothing quite like fishing in Seychelles. The outer island we take you to is known as the Amirantes, named after Vasco de Gama, who visited the cluster of coral islands and atolls during one of his voyages through India. The Amirates is one of the nearest outer islands to Mahe, and is comprised of the islands of Marie-Louise, Desnoeufs, Deroches, and d'Arros with its world famous lagoon.
